Home law, taken seriously.

Maṅgalya is made in India, for celebrations here first. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 sets the baseline for how we handle your personal data. This page explains our approach in plain language — it is not legal advice, and final compliance needs qualified counsel.

Our approach

  • Consent you can see — analytics and embeds wait for your opt-in; withdrawing consent stops collection and is honoured going forward.
  • Rights with a paper trail — access, correction, erasure, and grievance requests are authenticated, tracked, and auditable from Privacy & Data.
  • Only what the celebration needs — we collect account, invitation, guest, and payment data to run the service, not to build profiles. Children's data is not knowingly collected.
  • Retention with an end date — data is kept while your account or celebration needs it; our proposed retention schedule is published under Data retention.

Grievance redressal

Raise a privacy complaint as a data request (type: complaint) from Privacy & Data or through the support address in our Privacy Policy. If you remain unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India or the authority prescribed under the DPDP Act once those mechanisms are available.

Your DPDP rights, one tap away.

Access, correction, erasure, consent withdrawal, nomination queries, grievance redressal — file them all from Privacy & Data.
