1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website, Android app, and services offered under the brand "Maṅgalya" ("Services"), operated by Maṅgalya ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. Creating an account or completing a purchase is also acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Where changes are material, we will try to give you reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-product notice). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which should be read together with these Terms (including for compliance with applicable Indian privacy requirements, such as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where they apply).

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter a contract in India (or your country of residence) to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a family, business, or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Service description

Maṅgalya is a digital invitations and card platform available on the web and via our Android app. You can create and host invitations and related pages for Indian celebrations such as weddings, engagements, receptions, housewarmings, naming ceremonies, birthdays, and other events ("Invites"), and design printable or downloadable cards ("Cards"). Features may include curated designs, a browser editor with live preview, a shareable public link, RSVP and guest-book flows, a host guest list (including CSV import and export), photo galleries and guest photo walls, maps or directions (which may load Google Maps), optional video embeds (YouTube or Vimeo), optional password protection for guests, a card studio with optional client approval links, QR cards, and optional authentication (for example, signing in with Google) to manage your Invites and Cards. The Android app presents the same Services in a native shell. Wedding and event professionals may use Partner Studio to manage client Invites and Cards under their studio brand, keep a lead pipeline, invite team members, and access studio analytics. We host Invites, Cards, guest lists, and related data on infrastructure provided by our service providers (such as cloud hosting, object storage, database, and payment partners). We do not guarantee that every feature will be available forever or in every region; we may add, change, or retire features with reasonable notice where practicable.

4. Your responsibilities

• Accurate information. You are responsible for the accuracy of names, dates, venues, contact details, and any other content you add to an Invite or Card. Guests and third parties may rely on that information; we do not verify event details.
• Guest lists. If you enter or import guest names, emails, phone numbers, or other details, you confirm you have a lawful reason to store that information (for example, the person is invited to your event) and you will not use Maṅgalya to build or sell marketing lists. You are responsible for that list; we process it only to provide the guest-list feature.
• Cards and approval links. You are responsible for artwork and personal details on Cards you design or download, and for who you share review or approval links with.
• Lawful use. You must not use the Services for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws in India (and elsewhere, where relevant), including laws relating to defamation, harassment, obscenity, intellectual property, fraud, or spam.
• Respect for others. You must not upload or distribute content you do not have the right to use (including photos, logos, or text), and must not impersonate others or mislead guests about the nature of an event.

5. Free design and pay-to-release

You may use Maṅgalya without charge to design and preview Invites and Cards. Releasing an Invite (making it live at a shareable link and unlocking paid features described at checkout) requires a one-time payment. Downloading a print-ready or unwatermarked Card may require a separate one-time payment shown at checkout. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and may change; the price that applies is the one displayed at the time you complete payment. Card export prices are independent of Invite release pricing.

Current release price (subject to change on our pricing page):

• Base release: ₹799 (one-time payment per invite before optional add-ons)
• Optional add-ons: extra features or usage-based charges (for example RSVP or gallery limits) are calculated from your selections and shown at checkout before you pay. Add-on amounts are not included in the base release price above. Card export SKUs, if offered, are shown separately in the card studio.

Payments are processed by our payment partner (currently Razorpay). You agree to their terms and to providing accurate billing details. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

6. Partner Studio (professionals)

If you are approved or enrolled as a professional (for example a designer, photographer, planner, or studio) and use Partner Studio, additional terms apply:

• Studio profile. You are responsible for the accuracy of your studio name, branding, contact details, and any co-branded content shown on client Invites.
• Leads and client records. If you store enquiries or client details in Partner Studio, you confirm you have a lawful reason to keep that information and you remain responsible for how you use it. Maṅgalya provides the tools; we do not become a party to your client contracts.
• Team access. If you add team members to your studio, you confirm they are authorised to access client Invites and data on your behalf. You remain responsible for their actions under your studio account.
• Client relationships. Maṅgalya provides tools; contracts, pricing with end clients, and delivery obligations between you and your clients are your responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• Branded links. Released Invites under your studio may use studio-branded URLs or presentation as described at release time. You must not misrepresent your affiliation with Maṅgalya or imply endorsement beyond what we provide.

We may suspend Partner Studio access for breach of these Terms, misuse of client or guest data, or conduct that harms hosts, guests, or our reputation.

7. Paid features and what happens after

Features and add-ons (such as RSVP, maps, branding, premium designs, or Card exports) are as described on our website and at checkout when you pay. You may save changes to a released invitation multiple times at no extra charge; we may update this policy in the future and will revise these Terms accordingly. Paid Card downloads may be limited to the formats, sizes, and period shown at checkout.

Your public Invite link remains online so guests can view it; we do not guarantee permanent hosting for any fixed period and may take an Invite offline for legal, security, or operational reasons as described in these Terms. Unless you enable guest password protection where that feature is available, a released Invite is a public web page: anyone with the link can view it, and search engines may index names, dates, venues, photos, and other content you publish. You are responsible for not publishing personal data you do not want publicly visible.

8. Refunds and withdrawal rights

Because the Services are digital and customised to your content, amounts paid for releasing an Invite or purchasing a Card export are generally non-refundable once the Invite is successfully released, the paid features are delivered, or the export file is made available, except where required by law or where we agree otherwise at our discretion (for example, if a technical failure on our side prevents you from receiving what you paid for). Nothing in this section limits statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer law (including EU, UK, or Australian guarantees). Contact us at the email below if you believe you qualify for an exception.

EU/UK digital-content withdrawal: if you are an EU or UK consumer, you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. Because a released Invite or Card export is customised digital content made available to you immediately, that right ends once performance has begun with your express consent and acknowledgement that you lose the withdrawal right — which happens when you complete checkout and we release the Invite or export. If you are an EU/UK consumer and performance has not yet begun, contact us within 14 days for a refund.

International orders: checkout is processed by Razorpay in Indian Rupees (INR). Your bank may apply foreign-exchange or cross-border fees; any customs or import charges for printed cards you arrange yourself are your responsibility.

9. Intellectual property

Your content. You retain ownership of the text, images, and other materials you provide. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, process, and share your content only as needed to operate the Services (including backups, security, and support).

Our platform. The Maṅgalya name, logo, software, designs, layouts, and other materials we provide are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-transferable licence to use them only to create Invites and Cards through the Services for your own events or, if you use Partner Studio, for client events you are engaged to deliver. You must not copy, resell, scrape, reverse engineer, or use our designs, card templates, or platform to build a competing product without our written consent.

10. Prohibited usage

• Sending unsolicited bulk messages ("spam") or using Invites primarily to harvest emails or phone numbers without clear consent.
• Misusing RSVP or guest data, for example selling guest lists, using imported CSV contacts for unrelated marketing, stalking, or contacting guests without a lawful basis and consent.
• Overloading or attacking our systems, circumventing paywalls, or accessing other users' Invites or data without permission.
• Using Partner Studio or guest-facing features to collect, sell, or misuse personal data beyond what is reasonably needed for the event you are hosting or servicing.
• Any use that we reasonably believe harms users, our reputation, or violates the law.

We may remove content, suspend Invites, or close accounts that breach these rules.

11. Limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. We are not responsible for guest behaviour, no-shows, venue issues, travel problems, or disputes between you and your guests or vendors. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific Invite or transaction giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before you notified us of the claim (or, if lower, the amount required by law).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited (including under Indian law, EU consumer guarantees, UK Consumer Rights Act protections, and Australian Consumer Law guarantees).

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maṅgalya, Maṅgalya, and our team from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your Invites, your guest lists, your Cards, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights or applicable law.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to your account or any Invite or Card if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, if we detect fraud or security risk, or if we wind down or materially change the Services. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you (including any right to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction under EU, UK, or other applicable consumer law), courts in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services. If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder stays in effect.
