Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 21 March 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website and services offered under the brand "Maṅgalya" ("Services"), operated by [Company Name] ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Where changes are material, we will try to give you reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-product notice). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which should be read together with these Terms (including for compliance with applicable Indian privacy requirements, such as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where they apply).
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter a contract in India (or your country of residence) to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a family, business, or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3. Service description
Maṅgalya is a web-based platform for creating and hosting digital invitations and related pages for celebrations such as weddings, birthdays, and other events ("Invites"). Features may include templates, an online editor, a shareable public link, RSVP collection, maps or directions, and optional authentication (for example, signing in with Google) to manage your Invites. We host Invites and related data on infrastructure provided by our service providers (such as cloud hosting and payment partners). We do not guarantee that every feature will be available forever or in every region; we may add, change, or retire features with reasonable notice where practicable.
4. Your responsibilities
- Accurate information. You are responsible for the accuracy of names, dates, venues, contact details, and any other content you add to an Invite. Guests and third parties may rely on that information; we do not verify event details.
- Lawful use. You must not use the Services for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws in India (and elsewhere, where relevant), including laws relating to defamation, harassment, obscenity, intellectual property, fraud, or spam.
- Respect for others. You must not upload or distribute content you do not have the right to use (including photos, logos, or text), and must not impersonate others or mislead guests about the nature of an event.
5. Free design and pay-to-publish
You may use Maṅgalya without charge to design and preview Invites. Publishing an Invite (making it live at a shareable link and unlocking paid features described at checkout) requires purchase of a paid plan. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (INR) and may change; the price that applies is the one displayed at the time you complete payment.
Current paid plans (subject to change on our pricing page) include:
- Shubh — ₹499 (one-time payment per qualifying purchase, as described at checkout)
- Mangal — ₹999 (one-time payment per qualifying purchase, as described at checkout)
Payments are processed by our payment partner (currently Razorpay). You agree to their terms and to providing accurate billing details. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
6. Plans, editing period, and what happens after
Features included with each plan (such as RSVP, maps, branding, or premium templates) are as described on our website and at checkout when you pay. The Shubh plan is described as including unlimited edits for 30 days from the relevant publish or plan start date, as we define in the product; the Mangal plan includes everything in Shubh plus additional benefits listed on our site.
After any included editing period ends, we may limit or suspend access to the editor for that Invite unless you purchase another offering we make available. Unless we state otherwise, your public Invite link may remain online so guests can still view it; we do not guarantee permanent hosting for any fixed period and may take an Invite offline for legal, security, or operational reasons as described in these Terms.
7. Refunds
Because the Services are digital and customised to your content, amounts paid for publishing are generally non-refundable once the Invite is successfully published or the paid features are delivered, except where required by law or where we agree otherwise at our discretion (for example, if a technical failure on our side prevents you from receiving what you paid for). Contact us at the email below if you believe you qualify for an exception.
8. Intellectual property
Your content. You retain ownership of the text, images, and other materials you provide. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, process, and share your content only as needed to operate the Services (including backups, security, and support).
Our platform. The Maṅgalya name, logo, software, templates, layouts, and other materials we provide are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-transferable licence to use them only to create Invites for personal or family events through the Services. You must not copy, resell, scrape, reverse engineer, or use our templates or platform to build a competing product without our written consent.
9. Prohibited usage
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages ("spam") or using Invites primarily to harvest emails or phone numbers without clear consent.
- Misusing RSVP or guest data — for example, selling guest lists, stalking, or contacting guests for unrelated marketing without lawful basis and consent.
- Overloading or attacking our systems, circumventing paywalls, or accessing other users' Invites or data without permission.
- Any use that we reasonably believe harms users, our reputation, or violates the law.
We may remove content, suspend Invites, or close accounts that breach these rules.
10. Limitation of liability
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in India, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. We are not responsible for guest behaviour, no-shows, venue issues, travel problems, or disputes between you and your guests or vendors. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific Invite or transaction giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before you notified us of the claim (or, if lower, the amount required by law).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under Indian law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless [Company Name], Maṅgalya, and our team from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your Invites, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights or applicable law.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to your account or any Invite if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, if we detect fraud or security risk, or if we wind down or materially change the Services. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder stays in effect.
